Meghan consciously changed her Wikipedia page to portray herself as more of a philanthropist and feminist. She wanted to remove unfavorable elements from her own biography, such as her participation in the show "Deal or No Deal" and her past as a model.
Every time she reinvents herself, it marks a new chapter in her life and essentially undoes everything that was before. According to a 2020 report by Page Six, changes were made to Meghan's Wikipedia page in 2016, weeks before her relationship with Prince Harry became public.
Author Tom Bowes is now claiming that Meghan herself worked with a PR firm to change her Wikipedia page in 2016. At this point, she considered her budding relationship with Harry so important that she decided she needed to reconcile her past.
On October 9, 2016, her Los Angeles-based PR agency changed her Wikipedia entry. They removed her involvement in "Deal or No Deal" and the description of her case number from the show. Additionally, references to her career as a model have been removed. Instead, it included a section on her humanitarian work, describing her visits to Rwanda and Afghanistan and her speech in New York for the United Nations for Women. Tom Bowes stressed that this was an investigation carried out by people connected to the Queen, suggesting that Meghan's tendency to change her past had already been scrutinized. She prefers to delete all her photos and videos so that events are not recorded by images, like her wedding to Trevor Engelson.
Fortunately, her father's lifelong habit of taking pictures of her proves many aspects of her that she would rather forget or ignore.
Meghan's reputation for telling lies and changing her own life story to fit her current profile is well known. She is known for crafting her elaborate stories, which she takes her time to revise as she gains momentum, sometimes to the point of believing her own lies. She can look someone in the eye and tell an incredible lie, but later deny having made such a statement.
This pattern of dishonesty causes her to erase as much of her own deceitful past as possible and reinvent herself. One of the most significant victims of her misconduct is her father, Thomas Markle, who was welcomed into the royal family by Prince Charles in what is seen as a bad decision by some. Meghan Markle and Princess Kate once wore the exact same dress, but the styles were slightly different.
Duchess Kate has been spotted wearing Diane von Furstenberg's Zalita dress several times, her first appearance being at the Royal Variety Performance in 2014. She also rocked a floor-length black dress to the Anna Freud Center's latest project charity gala at Kensington Palace in 2017.
The Kate Middleton Style blog describes the dress as: "Zalita is a floor-length lace dress with a fitted bodice that flows to a curved, fluted hem." .
“The dress features wave detail, three-quarter length sheer lace sleeves, and a deep V neckline at the back. It is fully lined.
In 2014, Kate paired her dress with a classy black clutch and accessorized with stunning statement diamond earrings. The Queen wore a dress again in 2017, wearing a stunning diamond bracelet and matching earrings, once again opting for lots of glitter.
When Kate first wore this dress in 2014, she had her hair in a loose chignon, but she opted for dramatic, bouncy curls in 2017.
Years before Duchess Kate appeared in Diane von Furstenberg's work, Duchess Meghan wore the exact same dress, just a different color and length.
In 2012, before Prince Harry became an actress, Meghan attended a USA Network event wearing her cropped dark blue dress.
Freed from her royal fashion protocols, the actress was able to fully experiment with her own style. She paired the figure-hugging dress with beige patent pumps and accessorized with gold jewelry, including a charm bracelet and ring.
Like Duchess Kate, who wore a Zalita dress in 2017, Meghan opted for a hairdryer with voluminous curls.
Not only did the two wear the same Diane von Furstenberg dress, but they also looked almost identical in bright red dresses - almost like twins, so to speak.
