Prince Harry's Outburst as African Parks Network Removes Him from All Positions: Are His Contributions No Longer Valued

Prince   Harry's   role   within  the African Parks  Network  has changed significantly. His role as  president   of  the  organization   transformed   into  that of  an   officer.   Changes   to   this   task   were   determined  by  your   organization.  Harry first  became  president in 2017 after  working   on   an   elephant   conservation  project  in Malawi the year before.  During   his   six   years   as   president,   he   energetically   supported  numerous conservation  efforts,  with the  primary  objective of  protecting   Africa's  national parks and  wildlife.  His dedication and passion for this cause  is  widely  known,   and   in   August   2022,  the organization's CEO  thanked   him  for his  dedication.  Notably,  that  same year, he hosted a group of U.S. officials, conservationists, and philanthropists  on  a  visit   to  wildlife and nature reserves in Zambia, Namibia, and Rwanda.

However, Prince Harry's  appointment  from  president  to  director  has raised questions. Some  see  this  measure  as a  downgrade   since   the   president's  influence  is   small  compared to the role of  the   president.   Importantly,  Prince Harry  likely  initiated this change  himself  in  order  to maintain his status as a member of the royal family. This transition occurred  just  before the  King  and  Queen   arrived  in  Kenya.

This  change  in Prince Harry's position  coincided  with other  important  events within the royal family. For  example,  David Beckham was invited  to   a   banquet  by King  Charles,  where he was appointed as  the   king's  ambassador for  charity. The official announcement of Prince Harry's new position  describes  him as a humanitarian, military veteran, mental  health  advocate, and  environmental   activist.

It   is  worth noting that there are  various  boards within the African Parks  Network  and Prince Harry  has  a  non-executive   role,   particularly  on the  South  African   board.  This change in  role  represents  a significant shift after  six   years  as  president.  Additionally, this  change  coincides with other notable activities within the royal family.  For   example,  Prince  William  hosted a  world  summit  on  illegal wildlife  trade   in   Southeast   Asia,  highlighting  his  family's commitment to  conservation.  Some  interpret  Prince Harry's actions as an attempt to  gain  attention  amid   evolving   dynamics  within the royal  family.

Additionally,  there  were  observations about  the   evolution   of  Prince Harry's  social  circle.  He  seems  to  distance  himself from his older friends  and   prefers   to   socialize  with the rich and famous. Royal commentator Phil Dampier commented on this  change  in a recent interview,  saying  that Prince Harry's recent behavior,  including  attending high-profile events, has contributed to  him   being   perceived  as a  bit   of   a   loner.   He   pointed   out   that

Dampier   said  Prince Harry  is  often  accompanied   by  PR professionals who advise and manage his business affairs.  Mr  Dampier suggested that Prince Harry doesn't  seem   to   be  as  happy  as  he   used   to   be  and seems to be prioritizing  his  associations with celebrities and  wealthy   people,   perhaps  at the expense of  older friends  in   Britain.   The   changes  in social  circles   identified  by  Mr   Dampier   appear  to be part of a broader  change  in Prince Harry's life.  Invictus  director  David  Wiseman  recently discussed  the   possibility   of  Meghan  Markle   influencing  Prince Harry's  erratic   behavior  during the Invictus Games. Wiseman,  director  of the Invictus Games Foundation and a close friend of Prince Harry,  spoke   about  how  Prince  Harry adopted  an   innovative  strategy  for  the game's premiere.

Wiseman   said   the  Duke of  Sussex  had a different schedule in mind for the Invictus Games.  This   strategy   was   inspired   by  Harry's trip to  his   game   Warriors   in   2013.   At  the  time,  the  time  period Harry had in mind was not  fully  known to Wiseman and the  team.

In Wiseman's words,  "Given  that  it   was   his   May   2013,   we   had   no   idea   what   time   period  he had in  mind."   In   the   afternoon   we  went back to the Warrior Games  and he  was   up  on  the  podium   stage.  I think  his   speech   said,   "Look,   we   want   to   do   this,"   but   I   think   he   added  in his  own  notes,   "Next   year."   We  said,  ``What?  Next  year.''

For a  long   time,   only  three or four of them  headed  the Invictus  Foundation   and   oversaw  this ambitious project. They managed to get  up and running by  his  September 2014, and the event  was   held  at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. It was a close call, but they made  it.

Mr  Wiseman also shared his experience  with Prince Harry  at  the Warrior  Games   in   the   US,   stressing  that it  was   not  a formal meeting. During a casual breakfast discussion, Harry expressed his  excitement   at  what they  saw.
