‘Just Stop’ British Journalist Blasts Harry and Meghan’s Hollywood Dreams

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have faced a backlash from a British journalist who urged them to 'just stop' their attempts to redeem themselves in the public eye. Emma Woolf, a writer, critic and broadcaster, made the scathing remark on Talk TV, a new channel launched by Rupert Murdoch, amid reports that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex want to get closer to Hollywood.

Woolf, who is a former columnist for The Times and a TV presenter for Channel 4's Supersize vs Superskinny, said she was fed up with the couple's constant complaints and controversies. She said they should stop seeking attention and sympathy, and focus on their family and charity work instead.

"I just think, just make them stop. Just make them stop," Woolf said on the show. "They've got everything they wanted. They've got their freedom, they've got their money, they've got their Netflix deal, they've got their Spotify deal, they've got their book deals, they've got their children, they've got their lovely home in California. Just stop moaning. Just stop it."

According to Express, Woolf added that she was not interested in Harry and Meghan's plans to move to Los Angeles, where they reportedly hope to be closer to the entertainment industry and their celebrity friends. She said they should stay in Montecito, where they bought a $14.7 million mansion last year, and enjoy their privacy.

"I don't care if they move to LA. I don't care if they move to the moon. I don't care what they do," Woolf said. "I just think, leave us alone. Stop trying to get back into our good books. Stop trying to make us feel sorry for you. Stop trying to make us like you. Just go away and do your thing."

Woolf's comments came after several reports suggested that Harry and Meghan were planning to make a comeback in 2023, after a turbulent year that saw them face criticism and lawsuits over their media projects and interviews. According to The Sun, the couple want to move to LA to be closer to Hollywood and to boost their profile and popularity.

A source told the tabloid that Harry and Meghan felt isolated and bored in Montecito, and that they wanted to be part of the "glitz and glamour" of LA. The source said they were looking for a new home in Malibu, where they could mingle with stars like Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Aniston and Tom Hanks.

"They want to be closer to the action, closer to the industry," the source said. "They think LA is where they can make the most impact and where they can rebuild their reputation. They want to show the world that they are more than just a couple of whingers. They want to prove themselves as serious players in Hollywood."

However, not everyone is impressed by Harry and Meghan's alleged plans. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the couple were among the "biggest losers" of 2023, along with Disney, Marvel and DC superhero movies, and Elon Musk. The trade publication said the couple's Netflix documentary, Spotify podcast, and Harry's memoir 'Spare' were all "whiny" and "sanctimonious", and that they were mocked by 'South Park' and Jimmy Kimmel.
