Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well. Today I wanted to discuss Harry and Meghan's recent trip to Colombia and share some photos and insights into how successful their visit was.

First, let me share a few adorable pictures of Meghan dancing salsa with some local children in Colombia. Take a look at the way the children just loved Meghan - you can see it in their smiling faces. In one photo, a little boy is holding onto Meghan so sweetly. It really reminds me of when Meghan and Harry visited Nigeria previously and the children there were also very fond of interacting with them.

Harry and Meghan's trip to Colombia was clearly a huge success. Their Sala dance moves really showed how happy and engaged they were with the local community. According to an article by Paola Alonso, several videos of Harry and Meghan in Colombia went viral for their outfits and incredible Spanish language abilities. The video of them dancing salsa caught particular attention. Meghan and Harry both spoke some Spanish, which people appreciated.

This led some UK media to try and stir up competition by claiming that Prince William also speaks Swahili. However, as someone who speaks Swahili, I've never heard anything to validate that claim. It seems like a transparent attempt to make William compete with Harry and Meghan's impact, but the truth is he just can't match their global popularity.

Before the Sussexes' visit, the UK media was complaining about the supposed dangers of Colombia and even pushed local authorities about who would pay for Harry and Meghan's security. But their plans to spread misinformation failed - they were kicked out of a WhatsApp group and denied access to the trip details. Unsurprisingly, the visit went very smoothly and positively for Colombia.

When Meghan wore outfits from local Colombian designers, some UK outlets tried to spin a false narrative that the Colombian government was funding her wardrobe. However, the Colombian embassy has now set the record straight. Meghan has been a fan of these designers for a while, having previously worn their pieces on other occasions. The reality is she paid for her own clothes, as royal couples do not charge visitor countries.

It was also untrue that over $8 billion was spent on the visit or that the Colombian government paid for 3000 security personnel. International cooperation agencies covered most travel expenses. Not a single peso of taxpayer money went towards funding the visit. Harry and Meghan certainly did not charge any fees either - they simply wanted to experience Colombian culture firsthand in a respectful exchange.

Harry and Meghan's attendance at the Petronio Alvarez Festival in Cali had a massive positive impact. Over 600,000 people attended, generating over $60 million for the city. Their visit undoubtedly boosted Colombia's global profile and tourism prospects going forward. While some jealous outlets tried stirring negativity, the facts prove this was a mutually beneficial cross-cultural exchange between the Sussexes and the people of Colombia.

I'm glad the Colombian media is pushing back on the lies spread by parts of the UK press. Harry and Meghan clearly had a wonderful time on their visit and successfully achieved their goal of strengthening UK-Colombia relations. It will be interesting to see where they travel to next and continue championing global communities and causes through their platform. Please share your thoughts on their impactful trip to Colombia in the comments.
