Prince Harry can be compared to a grand old palace that was once majestic but is now in disrepair. Despite its structural problems, Buckingham Palace in its heyday exhibited a grandeur and history that captivated our imagination.
There is still an opportunity to restore it to its former glory, especially with expert expertise. Despite its dark history, there is a sense of relief in witnessing the resurrection of something with a solid foundation. Meghan, by contrast, has homes in McMansion subdivisions like the Montecito Olive Garden. It may be flashy and expensive, but underneath the surface it's made of cheap materials and has no substance.
Attempts to replicate trends from other cultures can come across as ostentatious and dry. It is found to be in an undesirable location, has a questionable origin and questionable past, was purchased at a discounted price, and cannot be insured. Over time, it becomes a burden and an annoyance to the owner. Its value will never increase as it is exposed to fire, flood and landslide hazards. It will eventually be demolished.
Officials have spoken out on the matter, saying it rivals Buckingham Palace in Harry's undeniable importance. However, this comparison reveals even more of its shortcomings. As a member of the monarchy and as a member of his family, he had a duty to contribute positively and deal with internal affairs without exposing himself to public scrutiny. His behavior reveals a self-centered, lazy, ignorant and demanding nature. Meghan may have had an influence on him, but it's his true personality that's finally revealed.
The reason we haven't been able to fully recognize him for who he really is so far is that the palace's public relations department has been busy cleaning up his mess and portraying him as a fairly normal human being. But it turns out he was spoiled, mischievous and entitled all along.
Ironically, Prince Harry's true nature was revealed many times before Meghan took the stage. The media frequently covered his missteps and luxuriated from the age of 15 into his 30s, while his younger brother, Prince William, was held to higher standards.
Media reports have documented incidents of Harry breaking bottles, misbehaving with women and being banned from various pubs. Notably, the infamous Las Vegas photos only scratched the surface of his demeanor. The report even described their relationship with Cressida as one of rights, highlighting their different backgrounds.
In a shocking incident, his polo pony was injured in reckless play and his flank was photographed. On other occasions, he did the dangerous act of aiming a polo ball directly into an allowed prespin, potentially putting his life at risk. When he was criticized by his opponent during a polo match, it was William who apologized instead.
Both the royal family and the media appear to be doing their part to cleanse Prince Harry's image. The media, in particular, contributed to his recognition as a reformer. However, the real Harry seems to be a spoiled and mischievous human being who was eventually exposed to all. It's caused concern about what kind of royalty Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would become if they were part of the family, but refused to acknowledge the real problem with Prince Harry's behavior. Instead of treating his malice and impulsiveness, they often portrayed them as good humor and charm.
"The British royal family owes him for allowing such behavior all along," Beast said. Perhaps because his youthful behavior was initially ignored and later excused as "young for his age", they seem to have avoided accepting the truth.
In my opinion, Harry should never receive taxes or participate in public appearances. If King Charles wants to support him financially and personally, which is his prerogative, it should remain off camera and out of the public eye indefinitely. Meghan also criticized her own family for not having contact with anyone other than her mother, who is still fulfilling her purpose in life. Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spoken negatively about their respective families, but have stayed in touch with those who have forgiven them and are clinging to whatever benefits they can get from "King Charles' Bench." The reason her Duchess Meghan cut ties with her family is probably because she has nothing to offer her. The royal family is still useful in their plans, even if it's just a matter of criticizing them.
It's clear that both Harry and Meghan were involved in their actions, sending each other into the echo chamber. Both destroyed families for personal reasons, so it's hard to figure out which one is worse. They ignored their moral superiority and chose the lower path. They both sunk in the gutter because they targeted their own families.
