Spotify Boss Threatens Legal Action: Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Accused of £18M Theft, Equipment Revocation Looms

Megan Markle and Prince Harry have officially parted ways with their archetype podcast following the collapse of their lucrative Spotify deal. The chief executive of the streaming giant attributed the failure to a lack of consumer satisfaction.

Meghan Markle served as the host of the podcast, which ran for 12 episodes last year with the stated mission of challenging, dissecting, and subverting the labels that hold women back. The chief executive of Spotify has now shed light on why he believes the podcast didn't succeed, potentially leading to the famous couple's removal from their £18 million podcast deal.

In an interview with the BBC, the Spotify boss explained, "We thought new innovation was needed to happen here. We thought we could  provide  a great experience that  would   make  consumers very happy and  open   up  new  avenues   for  new  developers.  The truth  is, some  worked and some  didn't.   We   hope   that   we   learn  from  this  and  wish all of  us   who   were   not   able   to   achieve   maximum   success   for  the  future.   ”

During the interview, he was  asked   if  the  Sussexes'  12 podcasts  over   two  years  were worth £18 million.  In   response  to this  question,   Spotify's  CEO expressed  his  frustration.

The Sussexes officially parted ways with Spotify in June after just one series.  After  the  deal   fell   apart,  they attempted to  obtain  exclusive copyright  to  the name "Archewell  Audio".  However, their  application  was  rejected  by the  U.S.  Patent and Trademark Office due to the  risk  of confusion with an existing  trademark.

Prince   Harry   and   Duchess   Meghan's  Spotify deal  is   controversial.   Critics   said  the  companies  had  failed   to   produce  content worth the  multi-million   pound  investment.  The  situation  prompted   Spotify  to  issue   a   statement  to  investors, and  the  conflict  in the music  world   forced   even   Spotify   executives   to   take   the   issue   to   the   UK   Parliament.

Meanwhile,  investments   in  Spotify's  home studio,  Montecito,   have  proven  to   be  more successful,  such   as  live reconstructions of  episodes   of   his   podcast.  There have  also  been reports  that  equipment  has   been  moved from the  royal  couple's  holiday   home,   suggesting  that  no  agreement has  been reached  to   seal  the  deal.  If  the   two   sides   cannot   reach  an agreement,  Meghan and Harry will  likely   have  to  take  legal action.

The Spotify executive also took the opportunity to criticize the Sussexes on an episode of his  podcast,  The   Griff,   saying   they  should have  started  the  podcast.

Will Meghan and Harry ever learn to keep their opinions to themselves? Critics  have   accused  the Sussexes  of   commenting  on world  events.  Yesterday,  Duchess  Meghan and  Prince  Harry, the Duke and Duchess of Hypocrisy, broke their silence on the ongoing crisis in  Israel   by   issuing  a statement on  the  Archewell Foundation website.  Duchess  Meghan and  Prince  Harry's statement  was   titled   "It   is   with   heavy   hearts"   that   it   said:  "At the Archewell Foundation,  we   stand  with Prince Harry and  Meghan   Markle,  the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,  and  stand against all acts of terrorism and brutality. We  will   continue   to   support  our partners and organizations on the front lines in  Israel,  provide  urgently   needed   aid,   and   support   all  the  innocent victims of this  unacceptable  level of human suffering."

However,  her  statement  did   not  explicitly condemn the violence. Instead,  they   were   provided   with  vague  messages   that   seemed  to be a pattern for them. Are they good at  making  real change? Many are skeptical.  Critics  have  spoken   out   against   it,  and this article highlights some of their  views.

Renowned   author   Jean   More   said  the Sussexes  seemed  to have a knack for inserting themselves into  situations around the world, often making  things  worse. They tend to  share their opinions on  any   topic,   believing   that   it   is   all   their   own   work,   even   though   they   are  not necessarily  experts  in  the  field.   Mr.  Jan also pointed out that  his   own  statement  did   not   specifically   criticize  Hamas, which has been criticized by many.

Other  celebrities, including Kim Kardashian and Madonna, have also  commented   on  the situation in Israel. While these celebrities may feel the need to speak out,  what   makes  Meghan and Harry's involvement  stand  out  is   that  they are not traditional celebrities. They are  trying  to  master  the transition from  members of the British royal family to  influential figures  themselves.

Another   royal   commentator,  Lady C,  also   expressed  her  views,   claiming  that Meghan  Markle  and  Prince   Harry,  unlike Prince William and King  Charles,   do   not   have   the   ability   to   speak   out   on   international   relations.  She believes that  her  involvement  seems  to be more about promoting  her   own  image than  actually  addressing the  issue  at hand.

Another   royal   commentator,  Phil Dampier,  agreed,   saying  that  if  Meghan and Harry  have   personal   issues   to   deal   with,   they  might be better off avoiding international  politics.   He   explained.
