Prince Harry's latest move has sparked speculation that he is still bitter about a particular decision made by the Royal Family. According to a royal expert, Harry's recent swipe at the Royals indicates that he is still hurt by his father's order to leave Frogmore Cottage in Windsor.

According to a report by Express, in business documents unveiled by the Mail, the Duke of Sussex has named the day he became a permanent resident in America as June 29, 2023. This date is reportedly the day he and Meghan moved the last of their belongings out of Frogmore Cottage, which was a wedding gift to the couple from Harry's late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.
Royal experts have suggested that Harry was "deeply wounded" by his father's decision to remove him from the cottage, and that this move was a significant factor in his decision to leave the Royal Family. Phil Dampier, a royal author, told the Sun: "Charles and William knew it had to be done to emphasize Harry and Meghan were outside The Firm, but he probably still thought he could keep a base here. Now he's shown he accepts his life is in the US."

The Duke revealed earlier this year that he has considered becoming a US citizen, saying it had "crossed his mind." This move would mean he may have to renounce his titles. Additionally, Harry's new residency status raises questions about whether he can remain as a Counsellor of State, one of seven members of the Royal Family who can deputise for the Monarch if he is abroad or unwell, but has to have a UK domicile.
The Heritage Foundation think tank in Washington DC has submitted a case to release Prince Harry's visa records, citing comments made by the American ambassador to London, Jane Hartley, that he would not be deported while the Democrat was president.
