Prince Harry sat down for a revealing new interview that is causing major buzz online. In the rare sit-down, the Duke of Sussex opened up about a range of topics from his wife Meghan Markle's struggles with mental health to his strained relationship with the royal family.

The documentary, titled "The Me You Can't See," was released on Apple TV+ on Thursday. In it, Harry co-created and executive produced a series aiming to help lift the veil on mental health and emotional well-being. While the project itself focuses on broader issues, Harry used the platform to speak personally about his experience and struggles within the royal family.

Many of Harry's comments have now gone viral as he made a number of bombshell revelations. First, he addressed reports that his wife Meghan once had suicidal thoughts, saying "Meghan decided to share with me the suicidal thoughts and the practicalities of how she was going to end her life. The scariest thing for her was her clarity of thought."

Harry said he took Meghan's claims seriously and wanted to get her help. "The thing that stopped her from seeing it through was how unfair it would be on me after everything that had happened to my mum and to now be put in a position of losing another woman in my life, with a baby inside of her, our baby." This gave a rare glimpse into the personal turmoil Meghan was facing as a new royal dealing with intense media scrutiny.

In another clip gaining attention online, Harry shared his fears that history could repeat itself if Meghan returns to the UK, referencing his mother Princess Diana's tragic death. "I'm just really relieved and happy to be sitting here, talking to you with my wife by my side," he told interviewer Winfrey. "Because I can't imagine what it must have been like for her [Diana], going through this process by herself all those years ago."

Harry also blamed the intense press attention Meghan received in the UK as a major factor in his decision to step back from royal duties last year. He said that while in Canada, South Africa and elsewhere during engagements, "I was seeing it happening to my wife, and people clearly had a bad agenda against her." He suggested the toxic environment ultimately led to him and Meghan deciding "the best thing for my family is to drop everything that her family stands for."

When asked directly if he would have still stepped down if it wasn't for Meghan's struggles under the pressure, Harry gave a candid response: "No. The answer to your question is no...It was never walking away. It was stepping back rather than stepping down." This seemed to cast his break from the royal family in a different light, suggesting he mainly did it to protect Meghan rather than being selfishly focused on privacy as some critics claimed.

As the comments spread widely on social media, many praised Harry for bravely speaking his truth and standing up for his wife. However, others criticized him for airing private matters and further worsening tensions with the royal family. Harry addressed those familial tensions as well though, saying "my family literally cut me off financially" in the first quarter of 2020 as they withdrew support for the couple after their departure.

He also implied his father Prince Charles and brother Prince William are "trapped" within the royal system, saying "My father used to say to me when I was younger... 'Well, it was like that for me, so it's going to be like that for you.'" But he said he did not want history to repeat and decided to change things for his own family's well-being.

The revelations have sparked debate worldwide about the pressures of royal life, mental health issues, and media ethics. Moving forward, it remains to be seen if Harry's candid words will help or further strain his relationship with the Windsors back in the UK. Either way, the rare family insights provided in this interview are sure to dominate headlines globally in the days and weeks to come as analyses continue.

With his comments already sparking intense reactions across platforms like Twitter, it's clear Prince Harry's interview is far from over in terms of inciting discussion. Many will continue analyzing and having passionate discussions around this glimpse into the struggles he and Meghan privately faced. While tensions may grow within the House of Windsor, Harry seems resolute that speaking his truth was necessary to begin healing. Only time will tell what lasting impacts emerge from this bombshell sit-down.
